Jim Giles and Tony MacFarlane were students at Wakefield High School when Teen-Beat was founded.

An early name for the band was K.C.P. or Killing Christians for Peace.

Jim hosted the first Unrest show in his parents basement in Fairlington, Arlington, Virginia.
